About Us

The Huronia Travel Clinic (HTC) was founded by Dr Tim Stanford and his wife Laurie in 1997. They both provided exemplary travel medicine advice until his retirement in 2019. The travel clinic is now run by Dr. Chris Gall who has worked alongside Dr. Stanford at the HTC since 2014. Dr. Gall was trained in immunology and microbiology in addition to his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. He regularly attends international travel medicine conferences and is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM), holds a Certification in Travel Health from the ISTM Body of Knowledge Exam, and teaches local physicians in training regarding travel medicine.

Dr. Gall is joined at HTC by Dr. Myk Kasperavicius and his wife Katie. Dr Kasperavicius completed his Family Practice Residency program at the Univerisity of Toronto, Barrie/RVH site in 2015 and his emergency training a year later in 2016. Dr Kasperavicius has an undergraduate degree in kinesiology and has a special interest in emergency and travel medince. Dr Kasperavicius is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and holds a Certificate on Travel Health for the ISTM Body of Knowledge.

Dr. Chris Gall, M.D., C.C.F.P., C.T.H.

Dr Chris Gall joined the Huronia Travel clinic in 2014. Dr Gall completed his Family Practice Residency progam at the Univerisity of Toronto, Barrie/RVH site in 2014. Dr Gall has an undergraduate degree in immunology and has a special interest in vaccines and travel medicine. Dr Gall is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and holds a Certificate on Travel Health for the ISTM Body of Knowledge.

Dr. Myk Kasperavicius, M.D., C.C.F.P., C.T.H.

Dr Kasperavicius is a full-time emergency physician in addition to working with the Huronia Travel Clinic team. He completed his family medicine residency with Dr Gall at the University of Toronto. He completed his Emergency Medicine Fellowship at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine in 2016. Dr Kasperavicius is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and holds a Certificate of Travel Health. Outside of medicine, he enjoys snowboarding, travelling the world, and spending time with his family.

Katie Koster, R.N.

Katie is a Registered Nurse who recently completed her Master's in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification at the University of Toronto. She joined the Huronia travel clinic team in 2018 and provides counselling to patients, as well as administers travel vaccinations. She enjoys traveling as much as she can, and spending time with her family.
