About Us

The Huronia Travel Clinic (HTC) was founded by Dr. Tim Stanford and his wife Laurie in 1997. They both provided exemplary travel medicine advice until their retirement in 2019. The travel clinic is now run by Dr. Myk Kasperavicius, who completed his Family Practice Residency program at the University of Toronto, Barrie/RVH site in 2015 and his emergency training a year later in 2016. Dr. Kasperavicius has an undergraduate degree in kinesiology and has a special interest in emergency and travel medicine. Dr. Kasperavicius is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and holds a certificate on travel health for the ISTM body of knowledge.

Dr. Myk Kasperavicius

Dr. Kasperavicius is a full-time emergency physician in addition to working with the Huronia travel clinic team. He completed his family medicine residency with Dr. Gall at the University of Toronto. He completed his Emergency Medicine Fellowship at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine in 2016. Dr. Kasperavicius is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and holds a certificate of travel health. Outside of medicine, he enjoys snowboarding, traveling the world, and spending time with his family.

Katie Koster

Katie is a Registered Nurse who recently completed her Master's in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner certification at the University of Toronto. She joined the Huronia travel clinic team in 2018 and provides counselling to patients, as well as administers travel vaccinations. She enjoys traveling as much as she can, and spending time with her family.
